A total of 50 young horses were up for sale at the Westphalian Autumn Auction. The auction took place this evening as an OnLive auction at the Westphalian Horse Center.
In the high-quality auction lot, one highlight followed the other. The licensed stallion Eleven HW (breeder: Roukaz Soufiah, Ostbevern; exhibitor: Horse Sales LLC, Florida, USA) was particularly popular among customers on site and online. Under the saddle of Stefanie Ahlert, the picture-perfect stallion has already been victorious in young horse riding competitions. The son of the sought-after sire Escamillo also left his 50-day test in Adelheidsdorf last year as a beaming winner. He received top scores of 9.0 for interior, character, willingness to perform as well as trot and canter. For a long time, customers from Belgium and Sweden fought online fort he final bid of the beautiful stallion. Elven HW, bred out of a dam by Den Haag/Prinz Segelhorst, was knocked down with the 70th bid for 155,000 Euros. Customers from Belgium are happy about the new star in their stable.

Head number 4 also aroused great interest among international customers. Verano Gold (breeder: Bernhard Schrapper, Grönheim; exhibitor: Eckhard Witthake, Recke) convinced throughout the auction time with enormous movement quality and willingness to perform. The three-year-old stallion is a son of Viva Gold, who was also the sire of the Champion Stallion at last year's Westphalian Main Licensing. V-Power, who like Verano Gold was bred out of a dam by Fidertanz, was auctioned at the Westphalian Stallion Market last year for the sensational price of 1.2 million euros. With Verano Gold, who has already proven himself in competition, the first vintage of Viva Gold now presents itself under the saddle. And this with great success! Equipped with the best riding qualities, this bay stallion made the hearts of the customers beat faster. After an exciting bidding duel, auctioneer Thomas Münch hit his auction hammer on the desk at 112,000 Euros. Customers from Germany who had placed their bids online will now continue to train this exceptional stallion.

Another dressage horse was sold for a six-figure sum. The strong moving state premium mare Diadora entered the auction hall with the head number 2. They have been shining at the Westphalian auction place for many years with the quality offspring of their horse breeding. So also at this autumn auction. Already at this year's Elite Show, the four-year-old mare convinced with her quality. The final ring particioant of 2023 finished her mare performance test with a final score of 8.27. The group of judges awarded her a 9.0 for her walk and rideability. Already presented successfully in riding horse competitions by her owner Christiane Ulmker, the bay mare aroused the interest of numerous potential buyers. In the end, Thomas Münch hit his auction hammer at 105,000 Euros with a bid from customers in the auction arena.

Three very promising riding ponies completed the lot of dressage auction candidates. A very special riding pony gelding was for sale with head number 5. Top Casanova was victorious several times this year in riding horse and riding pony competitions under the saddle of Greta Kühnhenrich. She also rode the palomino to the title of Westphalia Champion of three-year-old riding ponies at the Westphalia Week and, a short time later, to the silver medal in the Bundeschampionat. Together with her sister Carlotta, she exhibited the gelding at the Westphalian Autumn Auction. Shortly before his auction, he received a special honor. Due to his outstanding success, the Westphalian Studbook awarded him the name title NRW. With his new owners, he will appear on the show grounds as Top Casanova NRW in the future. At the hammer price of 31,500 euros, customers who won the bid on the spot are looking forward to a future with this exceptional pony. At an average price of 22,500 euros, all three riding ponies on offer changed hands this evening.

Coletta (breeder: Franz Becker, Metelen; exhibitor: Ludger Kuhn, Gronau-Epe) opened the lot of show jumpers with the head number 3. The typey gray mare already convinced at the Westphalian Week in Münster-Handorf this summer. With top scores, the daughter of Checkter/Lordanos became Westphalia Champion of four-year-old show jumpers. She already showed her qualities in 2022 when she was shown in the final ring of the Westphalian Elite Show. In her mare performance test, she received the dream score of 9.0 in free jumping. After an exciting bidding duel, Coletta was sold for 105,000 Euros.

With a total turnover of 1,361,000 Euros, 82 percent of the auction candidates on offer changed hands this evening. Four of the horses sold cracked the magic mark of 100,000 euros. The dressage riding horses cost an average of 37,423 euros, the jumping riding horses an average of 26,708 euros. Customers invested an average of 22,500 euros in their new riding pony. Ten of the horses sold will be based outside Germany in the future.

Two more honors took place before the auction began. The cover hero of this year's auction catalog was honored with the name affix NRW. The son of Sir Heinrich/Florestan also found his new owner through the Westphalian Elite Auction. Borja Carrascosa and Alexander Brenninkmeijer discovered the chestnut. Their long-time friends and sponsors Petra and Dieter Hofmann placed the highest bid. Under the saddle of Borja Carrascosa, Sir Hubert NRW has now arrived in Grand Prix sport.
Auction manager Thomas Münch expressed special thanks to the young breeders who had so actively supported the Westphalian Studbook throughout the foal season.
